Celebrating the Sublime

It is a sublime thing to suffer and be stronger.
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

In just-less-than eighty-nine years of life, Mom endured (more than) her fair share of suffering.  She is, without exception, the strongest person I have ever known.  While Mom and Mr. Longfellow never crossed paths, an argument certainly can be made that he spoke of her when he wrote the words highlighted above.

One and all are cordially invited to "Mom Fest!" (a/k/a "The Celebration of the Life of Joan Kenny"), which is happening on Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the brand-spanking-new Taylor Pavilion in Belmar, New Jersey.  All of the event's particulars can now be found in one location, which is not here, but is here.  The address, should you wish to type it in yourself, is joankennycelebration.weebly.com.  There shall be food, drink, music, stories, memories, and laughter.

The hope is that it shall be an event that Mom herself would enjoy very much.
