...And Away We Go

While it saddens me more than a little that our week's vacation has almost reached its famous final scene, and it saddens me even more to acknowledge that we are speed-dialing our way through July, it does gladden me a bit to know that today is Belmar Five Day.

I love the Belmar Five Mile Run, which has been contested as long as its more famous neighbor to the south, the Spring Lake Five Mile Run.  Today is the 41st annual running.  If history is any guide, it shall be hot, it shall be humid, and it shall be more than a little hard.

Then again, what thing that is worth doing is not at least a little hard?
